From:  Wayne Clapp, FL:  Don’t Ever Give Up.

Winston Churchill, the Prime Minister of Great Britain in 1941, gave a speech that rallied the British people to move ahead during some of the darkest days of World War II.  In it he said:  ““Never give in.  Never give in.  Never, never, never, never--in nothing, great or small, large or petty─ never give in, except to convictions of honor and good sense.”

Michael Jordan also said, "If you're trying to achieve, there will be roadblocks. I've had them; everybody has had them.  But obstacles don't have to stop you.  If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up.  Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it."

Successful people are persistent people.  It’s a universal constant among their ranks.  There is always a path to success, and it is up to us to find it.  In the face of any obstacle or discouragement, always remember that there is a way to overcome and succeed.  Just stick with it.  Instead of questioning whether you can do it, start taking action.  When confronted with adversity or obstacles, persist.  You can find a way, because God will make a way.  Maintain your focus; just don't quit.

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”  That’s what the Word says, and that’s what we say.  Like Paul we affirm that we can do what God says we can do.  We think it, say it, and live it.  What a way to live!  We obey God’s Word and enjoy God’s blessing.

You may want to say it an hundred times a day.  Let it roll off your lips and into your heart.  You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.  That’s in the active voice (for all you grammar buffs).  That means Christ actively strengthens you.  Remember it is God in Christ in you.  You are actively strengthened for service.  You are yoked with the Master and able for the task.  So, never give up.
